Our principles

We always treat our business partners fairly, honestly and competently

We develop long-term and sustainable relationships with our business partners

We take pride in the work we do and in the projects we develop

We want to leave this world a better and more sustainable place for our children

We mean what we say and we uphold our promises

We ensure that all we do is fair and builds value for everyone involved

How we work

We discuss potential sites and areas which might be suitable for siting a battery energy storage system with landowners

We must be near a substation on the transmission grid (130kV lines upwards), typically characterised by steel pylons

We prepare a non-binding offer within a few days of an initial contact, depending on the situation this is an offer letter or draft 'heads of terms'

We prepare detailed and specific ‘heads of terms’ together with you, dealing with all salient points of a long term option and lease agreement; this saves time and avoids misunderstandings when binding agreements are drawn up

We request that a ‘good faith and cooperation’ commitment is given, once we agree on heads of terms, as we will then mobilise legal advisers and apply for grid connection, committing significant resources

We use a set of trusted advisers who are experienced, well-qualified and competent in grid-scale BESS project development

What we do

We develop grid-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects from greenfield to ready-to-build stage in Germany and in the UK.

We work on projects from 50MWp upwards, but normally aim for BESS arrays of 200-250MW, with durations (or capacity) flexible and suited to the site and connection parameters

We develop BESS projects capable of delivering grid ancillary services as well as arbitrage & storage services

We are technology-neutral but plan for project parameters that allow the deployment of a broad technology range

We ensure substantial site area expansion reserves, where feasible

UN sustainable development goals

Our projects and what we do support seven of the United Nations' 17

Sustainable Development Goals

Projects

We are currently developing nine projects in Germany with a total capacity of 1.99GW

We develop BESS projects in a range from 120MW to 250MW

Our sites typically have area reserves allowing an expansion to 350MW

We connect to transmission grid connected substations
